WELCOME
TO MY
portfolio

This past spring, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as project manager for SCAD SERVE x Greenbriar Children's Center Inc. Near the end of March, I and ten others, including students in interior design, advertising and branding, industrial design, illustration, and writing were tasked with reimagining Greenbriar Children’s Center, a non-profit organization originally established as an orphanage and now supports low-income families, provides an emergency shelter, and incorporates Project Safe Place and family preservation & counseling programs. Using the values that are intrinsically a part of the Greenbriar community, our goal was to create an oasis of a campus that reflected the care and intention that goes into the center daily. Greenbriar is a safe space for people to step into their community and thrive.
Within 10 weeks and plenty of time together, this wonderful team was able to redesign a campus that met the vision of Executive Director Ms. Gena Taylor and Dr. Eric Masen, who we worked with throughout the process. We provided three fully rendered buildings: Ivy Hall, the Adaline Graham Cottage(s), and Doris W. Robert’s Gymnasium.
This past November, Delaney Smith and I had the honor of accompanying our Professor, Scott Horner, SCAD SERVE Vice President Scott Linzey, and SCAD SERVE Assistant Director Maggie Murphy Sorel, LPC to the 75th Anniversary Greenbriar Gala where Savannah College of Art and Design was awarded the Adaline Graham Philanthropic Award. Greenbriar Children’s Center is now in the process of fundraising to undergo the physical transformation of the campus. What an incredibly rewarding experience and one I will hold close with me!

When the

This collection of knitted swatches is a study in texture, pattern, and technique, serving as a foundation for material exploration and design refinement. Each swatch is developed to experiment with structure and form, laying the groundwork for larger finished pieces within the collection. Inspired by the Vietnamese folk tale of Lạc Long Quân, Âu CÆ¡, and their 100 sons and daughters—who are said to be the ancestors of the Vietnamese people, born from mountain fairies and water dragons—the collection reflects the rich cultural narratives of my heritage, blending mythology with materiality.

A jacquard-woven pattern featuring hummingbirds and butterflies in a structured repeat, developed from my own sketches. Spanning three repeats across and two repeats high, this piece draws from childhood memories of watching hummingbirds from my grandmother’s porch, intertwining the comfort of nostalgia with the innovation of digital weaving techniques.

Jacquard Weaving
Project Date
March 2024
A jacquard-woven self-portrait structured like a film strip, capturing a progression of self-revelation. The subject appears in three frames, each gradually unveiling more of the face—symbolizing growth and self-realization. Woven with a rayon embroidery weft, the piece mimics the tactile depth of photographic grain.
of Becoming

Avec Amour
This piece is inspired by my summer travels through the south of France, from Lacoste to Lyon to London. Our final project was meant to reflect our experiences, drawing from travel journals and sketchbooks. Throughout my journey, I found myself collecting postcards in every place I visited. This woven piece merges my writing and photography to create a personal postcard design. The colors—lavender and poppy red—are drawn from the landscapes that became symbolic of my summer in Europe.

This collection draws inspiration from a vintage Colorado postcard, capturing the warmth of summer nostalgia as it fades into winter’s quiet loneliness. It’s the contrast of gingham in summer and plaid in winter, the bows that hold sun-warmed pigtails and later adorn gifts beneath the tree. It is the longing for home—wherever it may be—through every change and passing moment.
