ABOUT

Jasey Beaver

Jasey is a textile designer and fiber artist who explores the relationship between materials, self, and identity. Her work embodies dualities through a tactile, hands-on process that invites transformation. By experimenting with texture, form, and structure, her pieces reflect the complexities of personal and cultural identity, allowing for a deeper understanding of growth and change. Each creation becomes a journey, pushing the boundaries between what is and what could be.

Jasey is pursuing her B.F.A. in Fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she specializes in textiles that focus on structure, visual language, and conceptual design. Alongside her technical work, Jasey has a strong passion for photography and writing, which are pivotal to her multidisciplinary approach and finding inspiration. Together these pursuits allow her to explore the intersections of textile art, visual storytelling, and written word, creating a rich, layered narrative that blurs the lines between fine art and personal expression. In addition to her creative pursuits, Jasey is a member of the SCAD Women’s Soccer team, where the discipline and teamwork of sports have influenced both her approach to life and art.
